Q's first dentist visit

What a day this was. I took Quinn for his first checkup at the dentist. I arrived thinking it would be a short and sweet visit.

Maybe a little something like this: Go for a ride in the chair, take a peak at the teeth, say everything looks good, get a new toothbrush, go home! NOT!!

It went something like this: get a couple x rays, don't smile Quinn.... whatever you do DO NOT SMILE, look at the xrays on the screen while waiting for the dentist and notice BIG SPOTS on the teeth where there should be no spots, think about all the times I let Quinn have juice and milk in bed and majorly regret it, take a peak at the teeth, hear dentist list off SIX places he sees cavities, get a new toothbrush, book an appointment for Quinn to get 4 fillings and 2 crowns, and last but not least...go home (and maybe shed a tear or two).

"Seriously, quit taking my picture...I'm NOT happy about wearing this full length vest."

Getting x-rays

Not quite sure...

"Ahh..this is better. I can watch movies!"

All done! He's smiling because he hasn't quite realized that he has 6 cavities and that we are about to have an intervention for him and his juice consumption.

Oh I feel your pain. That happened to me with Emma. I was seriously so upset. What a bad mom, right? You are fabulous, take it in stride. You know better you do better.

That doesn't sound fun at all but at least you got it done with! You're a good mommy. =) My BFF is a dentist so i'm hoping that taking Aubrey to the dentist will be a piece of cake. And make sure you pack some wine for yourself when you take him to go get those fillings. hehehe =)

He focused on watching the tv on top of him, huh? He looks like he was sitting comfortably on that chair! And oh, he has cavities? He should really cut down on his sweets, if that's the case. He might not like it, but it's good for his health. Btw, his toothbrush looks cool! What is that thing on his left hand, a water gun?
